With the support of the Colombian Civil Defense, our group the Environmental Guardians of the Foundation held an art workshop with messages alluding to the care of the environment. We also worked on perseverance, teamwork and respect for our partner’s turn.

The activity was carried out in a house in the community where neighbourhood children from outside the Foundation were also brought into the group.

The artistic day was a success, managing to reflect on caring for the environment and strengthening ties between the Foundation and other important participants in this sector, such as Civil Defense and the community.

Two groups, “Los Guerreros” and “Guardianes Ambientales” left for one of the city’s synthetic football pitches where they participated in a football competition, which apart from breaking the daily routine, is fantastic for mental health, teamwork and integration.

Participation, enthusiasm and joy was the order of the day with everyone finishing the games totally satisfied and with the desire to repeat it all again.

The youth group of the Foundation again developed and carried out excellent social work by initiating a literacy campaign for older adults, who for the first time in their lives had someone to teach them how to recognize letters.

The enthusiasm of the adults who participated in the campaign was really exciting as they learned to trace their first letters and write their names. Congratulations to the youth group.

In this date we distinguished our children who turned years during the month of May, the group of sailors made an exhibition of their work with the techniques of painting and emotion management.

Through playful pedagogical activities, the youth group stimulates its executive functions, fundamental in the processes of leadership and empathy, main axes for the construction of life projects that aim at community transformation.

Mothers deserve the best for their great work. The family of Fundación Mi Ciudad Con Vida celebrated the day for our mothers in a great Bingo activity.

In the 2001 through the law 724 of December 27, the Congress of the Republic of Colombia institutionalized the celebration of the Children and recreation day in the country. This with the objective of during the month of April it is possible to advance the awareness of the family, society and the State about their obligation to assist and protect children for guarantee their harmonious and integral development (Congress of the Republic of Colombia, 2001).

In this important day the children enjoyed a Great Values ​​Fair, in which they shared and had fun with all their classmates.

We celebrated Earth day to remember that the planet and its ecosystems give us life and sustenance, as the Rio Declaration of 1992 reminded us, of fostering this harmony with nature and Mother Earth. 

This day offers us too the opportunity to raise awareness among all the inhabitants of the planet about the problems that affect the Earth and the different life forms that develop in it. On this day we have the support of the National Police, an environmental protection group who, along with our Environmental Guardians, toured the community carrying messages of protection and care for Mother Earth.

Building lifestyles and stimulating creative potential through playful pedagogical strategies is the main objective for the group of Sailors. On this day they carried out activities related to breathing, taking as context the depth and tranquility of the sea. The preparations for the celebration of Mother’s Day did not wait, the children of the foundation My city with life built creative cards.
