Complementary workshops are personalised activities which are designed to reinforce areas where children have academic deficiencies. They are accompanied by an explanation of how the steps are divided or small instructions are given so that the child can achieve the goal.
Recycling day celebration
With metal lids, plastics, and bottles the environmental guardians group celebrated the world day of recycling. They reused these materials into artistic works where the children developed all their creative potential. Long live the recycling!
Nutrition consultation
Part of our culture of self-care is to promote a healthy lifestyles in the personal, work and social areas through a healthy and balanced diet. For this we have the assessment and awareness of the human resource of the foundation, by the expert nutritionist Luz Vargas.
Home visits to new families and children
We started to do home visits to the new children and families of the Foundation. These help us to get to know a little bit about the children and their family before they start in addition to obtaining essential documents for the child’s resume.
Mother’s day celebration
The Mothers’ Day celebration in Lipaya was a huge success with more than 50 people in attendance. With contests, serenades and comedy, the mothers who attended had the most fun, laughing and dancing. Once again the workshop groups brought out the best in organisation and the happy faces of the mothers was the prize!
Technology and cognitive stimulation
Technological advances contribute to improving the quality of life of people and in school support we use them as cognitive stimulation tools for children. Children have fun and learn while improving their weaknesses.
What does the school support program do?
The school support program is an activity aimed at training school-age children and involves the children attending various activities on the school day. They are guided and trained by people in the educational field in order to overcome any behavioural difficulties and achieve academic success.
Celebrating Children’s day
Children’s Day was celebrated with a fair of values, where 12 recreational games were held, reinforcing in them team work, respect, honesty and understanding. Children participated actively, full of energy, fun and companionship.
Promoting active learning
Learning is a continuous process and goes at different rates in each human being. Therefore it is required to use teaching tools in which students have an active role. Through participation in class children can discover the meaning of learning any subject, especially in the area of mathematics, to identify if they understood the theme that is being taught in class.
Sowing the seeds of environmental culture
The Guardians of the Environment group of the Foundation held a day of awareness about the importance of trees and the management of solid waste in the Nuevo Horizonte neighbourhood of Soledad. The community participated actively, integrating parents and children to the day. Excellent work!
