Second day of rehearsals
The second rehearsal of the end of the year party was developed with great enthusiasm in the facilities of the Foundation in the Lipaya neighbourhood, where each group defined what they will do in the Christmas event. The disposition of the children and youth facilitated the advancement of the program for the closing event.
As a novelty, we had the visit of the English Photographer, professor at the Universidad del Norte, Neal Houghton, who did a photo session with the active participation of the children, who were very warm and receptive to the visitor.

1st End of year party
We are all excited about the end of the year party; The first trial was a success. The commitment and dedication were evident throughout the days by the children of the Foundation. In addition, part of the general program was defined.
This is already taking shape!
First training space for parents
The Parent School is a space that enables collective reflection contributing to the educational task that the family has. On this occasion, and with the help of a series of training activities focused on healthy nutrition, all of the members of the workshop learned about the food groups that should be eaten more frequently and those that we should avoid consuming.
Art to educate environmentally
With the support of the Colombian Civil Defense, our group the Environmental Guardians of the Foundation held an art workshop with messages alluding to the care of the environment. We also worked on perseverance, teamwork and respect for our partner’s turn.
The activity was carried out in a house in the community where neighbourhood children from outside the Foundation were also brought into the group.
The artistic day was a success, managing to reflect on caring for the environment and strengthening ties between the Foundation and other important participants in this sector, such as Civil Defense and the community.
Football integration
Two groups, “Los Guerreros” and “Guardianes Ambientales” left for one of the city’s synthetic football pitches where they participated in a football competition, which apart from breaking the daily routine, is fantastic for mental health, teamwork and integration.
Participation, enthusiasm and joy was the order of the day with everyone finishing the games totally satisfied and with the desire to repeat it all again.
We commemorate world food day
During this week the cafeteria has been developing educational activities with the children around healthy eating as October 16 was proclaimed World Food Day by the FAO with the purpose of raising awareness around the world of the global food problem and to strengthen solidarity in the fight against hunger, malnutrition and poverty.
