Reflections Behind the Screen

As part of the educational initiatives of Fundación Mi Ciudad con Vida, we conducted a workshop focused on encouraging reflection on the responsible use of social media and the content we share online.

Through participatory activities, our beneficiaries explored how posts, photographs, and messages may present only one part of reality and create perceptions that do not always reflect what happens in everyday life.

The session also aimed to strengthen their ability to critically assess what they see online before comparing it with their own lives. Topics included the pressure to project a certain image, the search for approval, and the tendency to compare personal experiences with carefully curated content.

In this way, the workshop encouraged a more mindful and conscious approach to social media, based on the understanding that every post involves a choice about what to show—and what to leave out.
