“We seek family unity through Bocaditos de Esperanza” (little bites of hope)
Thanks to the contributions of a private company, we had a fun and playful day with a delivery of cookie combos to the children and adolescents of Barranquilla. Our beneficiaries were encouraged to meet with all the members of their family for 10 minutes, talking about a common topic and sharing a delicious snack.
Families had to register this family space with a photograph and share it on our networks.
Emotions to the Limit with Yoga
In order to help our young people to identify, validate, manage and process their emotions, we have continued with the yoga classes.
Today our central theme in this process erre the basic asanas, which are a set of postures that facilitate us to achieve a higher state of consciousness, and help us unite the body and mind through breathing and movement.
When breathing and movement are coordinated, our mind carefully follows their union, making all of this a conscious and present process.

In the midst of the pandemic, our graduate Miguel gains his Masters
Our graduate from the Higher Education Program, Miguel Ortega, graduated virtually from his master’s studies, thanks to the support of FMCCV and the postgraduate scholarship he won at the University.
Miguel was born and raised in the Lipaya neighbourhood and from a very young age he entered as a beneficiary of the Mi Ciudad Con Vida Foundation. In 2012 with the help of the Foundation’s Higher Education program, he went to Santa Marta to pursue his professional studies in Film and Audiovisuals where he completed his entire degree with a scholarship from the University and graduated in 2017 with Summa Cum Laude recognition and postgraduate scholarship.
Today Miguel is a Master in Audiovisual Scriptures and heads the communications area of our Foundation as a volunteer.
At FMCCV we are convinced that with a little help we can transform the lives of children and young people like Miguel.

Celebrating with nature
We took a field trip to find and recognise the native tree species and their importance for the care of the environment – the ceiba, trupillo, totumo, coconut palm, mangrove and zaragoza. On this occasion we went to Swan Lake, a place in harmony with nature, where the children of “Los Ángeles“ and “Las Estrellas” enjoyed nature to the fullest.
