This week we conducted a theoretical and practical workshop of homemade desserts, for those parents who want to surprise their children with a delicious snack – as well as exploring the business idea for the people who work from home and thus can generate income for their family.
Inclusion processes are part of our work
The processes of inclusion are not only in the school. Children also have a permanent follow-up through the School Support Program where they are provided with an educational space based on respect, integrity, social participation, the pace of learning, the cooperation and strengthening self-esteem.
Ecology walk
Continuing with its healthy life program, the work team of the foundation organised an ecological walk to the Morro, a sacred place of the indigenous Mocana people, located in the municipality of Tubara, Atlántico. During the day we could breathe pure air and really enjoy the nature. The teams from both Lipaya and Soledad remain fully committed to the goal of maintaining healthy habits. Let this great experience be repeated. Thanks FMCCV
Looking after our beaches
Early on, the doors of the foundation were opened to start the flea market organised by the youth group. The local community was able to acquire various useful objects for their family at very comfortable prices, among which we had mattresses, cars and walkers to name but a few. The day passed between music, animation and sale. Thank you, the FMCCV family for supporting all of our projects. Always thinking about the preservation of the environment, the environmental guardians group and the warriors, in association with the triple AAA, went to the beaches of Salgar, where they organised a day of picking up rubbish and plastic. Always sending the message of commitment about the environment.
Sensory ideas that stimulate the palate
With a fun game called “fortune-teller guess what food tests today” we conducted a contest that consisted of blindfolding the child who had to then guess the name of the food just by trying it. A creative way for children to dare to explore new flavours and textures.
Complementary workshops
Complementary workshops are personalised activities which are designed to reinforce areas where children have academic deficiencies. They are accompanied by an explanation of how the steps are divided or small instructions are given so that the child can achieve the goal.
Recycling day celebration
With metal lids, plastics, and bottles the environmental guardians group celebrated the world day of recycling. They reused these materials into artistic works where the children developed all their creative potential. Long live the recycling!
Nutrition consultation
Part of our culture of self-care is to promote a healthy lifestyles in the personal, work and social areas through a healthy and balanced diet. For this we have the assessment and awareness of the human resource of the foundation, by the expert nutritionist Luz Vargas.
Home visits to new families and children
We started to do home visits to the new children and families of the Foundation. These help us to get to know a little bit about the children and their family before they start in addition to obtaining essential documents for the child’s resume.
Mother’s day celebration
The Mothers’ Day celebration in Lipaya was a huge success with more than 50 people in attendance. With contests, serenades and comedy, the mothers who attended had the most fun, laughing and dancing. Once again the workshop groups brought out the best in organisation and the happy faces of the mothers was the prize!
