Within the framework of educational workshops with parents and children, we have highlighted the importance of breakfast, considered the most important meal of the day, as it provides the necessary nutrients and energy to successfully start school activities. Today, we worked on identifying the appropriate times for breakfast and the food groups we should prioritize to start the day with full energy.

A joyful Family Day celebration was held at the Lipaya location with the organization of a bingo event in which children participated alongside their families. During the event, families enjoyed an atmosphere of camaraderie and interaction, strengthening the bonds among community members. Let’s Learn Healthy Eating Habits Through the Nutritional Pyramid

One of the main objectives of the food security program is for children to learn how to eat healthily. This week, we conducted a pedagogical activity using the Nutritional Pyramid through a puzzle, where participants used their creativity and ingenuity to arrange the pieces while also internalizing the food groups and how we can combine them in each meal of the day.

This week, the Foundation, in collaboration with the Personería of Barranquilla, held a training session on human rights and care pathways. The event provided participants with key information on rights protection and available resources for addressing cases of violation. This initiative strengthens the commitment of both institutions to the defense and promotion of rights in the community.

This Saturday, the youth leaders of the Fundación Mi Ciudad Con Vida held a recreational event for the elderly in the community. During the event, participants enjoyed board games, a lively dance session, and a healthy snack. The activity aimed to promote integration and well-being among the elderly, strengthening intergenerational bonds. Attendees expressed their gratitude for this initiative, highlighting the effort and dedication of the young people.

Beneficiaries Lead with Environmental Care and Commitment in Tajamares Run

Adolescents and young people from the foundation actively participated in the Tajamares Run, supporting educational actions on environmental care and leadership. The race, held in a natural environment, not only promoted physical activity but also environmental awareness among the attendees.

Some young people stood out as competitors, demonstrating their commitment and skills in athletics. The participation of the beneficiaries in this race was a testament to their dedication to environmental protection and their leadership abilities in the community.
