The Psychosocial Accompaniment Program in partnership with the Food Bank of Barranquilla and personal donations managed to make a garage sale with used clothes in optimal condition and the delivery of food packages. This community activity was able to benefit more than 80 families.
A follow-up to the Higher Education Program
The Higher Education Program provides permanent accompaniment to its beneficiaries in the return to their presence in face-to-face classes. During this week we highlighted one of our beneficiaries of the program, Mayerlis Jaraba Bolívar, a young woman of twenty years old, example of resilience and personal growth. Currently Mayerlis studies two careers that she defines as her passions: Bachelor’s Degree in Biology at the Universidad del Atlántico, studying fourth semester and at the National Learning Service SENA, Regency in Pharmacy. Mayerlis, from the foundation we are completely sure you will move forward and fulfill your dream of being a professional and be able to support your family.
We started with the Educational Articulation Program
This week we started with the activities of the Educational Articulation Program. We had the first parent conference of the beneficiaries of Higher Education and educational scholarships. In this space, the commitments and duties for 2022 were remembered.
Clothing Bazaar
Our Mi Ciudad Con Vida families had a day of fun and shopping. Through the “closet sale” strategy, familes had access to clothing, shoes and food items at token prices starting at $500 (COP).
Delivery of Portable Gardens for Enviromental Guardians
Thanks to the ongoing training process for our beneficiary children at Mi Ciudad Con Vida in caring for the environment, the environmental guardians are motivated to continue the home garden project. On this occasion they received a delivery of portable gardens that facilitate cultivation in reduced spaces, aimed at self-sustainability.
Delivery of Seed Capital for Productive Units
Thanks to the support of the Barranquilla mayor’s office, 24 mothers who are leaders in the Lipaya neighborhood received resources including seed capital and business strengthening for their small-scale businesses, at a value of $500.000 (COP) each, for a total of $12.000.000 (COP).
Barranquilla and Soledad Families Benefit from Food Packages
Thanks to an alliance with the Food Bank we were able to benefit families of Barranquilla and Soledad, who received packages of food items. These were made available to the community at token prices starting at $500 (COP).
2021 Graduates
On this day we were pleased to congratulate our beneficiaries who achieved the culmination of their secondary school studies, and will soon start higher education.
Children’s Day Celebration
We celebrated Children’s Day in the afternoon through music, contests, and fun games that made our little ones happy.
Prevention activities and women’s health
Today we were in a virtual and face-to-face health, prevention and self-care session for women from the Barranquilla and Soledad branches with the support of the Haceb Foundation and its group of allies.
