On April 23, 100 food baskets were delivered to the Foundation’s beneficiary families. Through this support we are able to help mitigate the food crisis that they are experiencing due to the pandemic.
Promoting social participation and leadership in the community
A virtual meeting was held with leaders of the community action board of Barranquilla (Lipaya) and Soledad (Nuevo Horizonte) to present progress of the psychosocial intervention booklet. They made their contributions based their experience and work in the community .
During the meeting, valuable contributions were made that will be taken into account in the psychosocial booklet, which will be a training instrument for future social leaders who wish to generate impact in the community.
Verification of the land of the beneficiary families’ home gardens
A study was carried out in the garden of the beneficiary families of the Mi Ciudad con Vida Foundation to check on the type of land.
Christmas Campaign 2020
This year our customary Christmas campaign and end of the year closing was different due to the health situation that the whole world is going through, we share with you through this audiovisual piece how this important activity was developed this year.
Production units underway
With a bakery workshop, the start-up of the production units of the FMCCV continues. The seed, as the bakery is called, is an association of female heads of households from the Lipaya neighbourhood, who with the project have found another tool to support their families and mitigate the ravages of the covid. The energies and dedication of this group of women has been present during the development of the workshops. Long live entrepreneurship.
The culture of productive yards
Through the Cultivarte Project, which has been developing in the community of Lipaya and Soledad, the dream of producing a small amount of vegetables at home is being brought to reality in order to reduce the cost of the family food, increase the consumption of healthy foods and unite families in this purpose. Creating the culture of green production in the gardens and terraces of the beneficiary families has been a purpose that we aspire to be perpetuated over time for the direct benefits to our families.
Nutritional workshops at the Soledad site

Instructions for handling the application of the public employment agency SENA
This week, Monica Vargas, the SENA Occupational Counsellor, accompanied us, who was sharing with the families and children of the higher education program, about the services that the public employment agency provides to the vulnerable population and all Colombians in general at the time of improve job skills or seek employment opportunities. |
Advancement of urban home gardens
We delivered materials for the home garden project to 14 beneficiary families in the Lipaya neighbourhood. Among these materials were 9 species of vegetable seeds, 1 germinator, 1 bag of sturdy, 1 bundle of compost and two sandbags for each family, who with these materials began the preparation of the substrate and the sowing of the seeds. |
Delivery of snacks in Barranquilla and Soledad
