In the headquarters of Soledad, we want to pay a heartfelt tribute and recognition to mothers on their day, as an acknowledgment of the beautiful work they do daily with their children. It was an afternoon full of fun with contests, prizes, and a special toast to highlight their virtues, active participation, and commitment to social volunteering. We wanted to emphasize their dedication and unconditional love in an afternoon full of gratitude and celebration.
We had an unforgettable experience during our visit to the zoo, where we had the opportunity to learn hands-on and experientially about different habitats and the fascinating diversity of our planet.
The children and adolescents from the Mi Ciudad con Vida Foundation enjoyed a day full of fun and learning during an exciting event. Traditional games, role-playing games, and knowledge-based games were organized using recycled materials to enrich the experience for all participants.
This week at the Soledad headquarters, we had a visit from a group of volunteers from the Civil Defense, who carried out drills focused on the prevention of natural disaster risks, first aid, and self-care.
On this Earth Day, the boys and girls from the Environmental Guardians project participated in an exciting beach cleaning and mangrove planting day in Puerto Colombia. This activity was carried out in collaboration with the Real Kids Colombia Foundation, the YMCA Organization, the Environmental Network of Puerto Colombia, and the Rumbo Project Collective, thus strengthening our commitment to environmental conservation.
During Holy Week, at the Soledad headquarters, we have carried out various activities focused on reflection and spirituality, with positive messages about the importance of family unity and the value of solidarity. Additionally, a small festival was held featuring homemade and traditional sweets, a custom that has been preserved over the years thanks to the oral memory of the women who work in the preparation of these desserts.
Mandalas worked with elements of nature stimulate creativity, help overcome stress and allow for generating an interior state of confidence, spontaneity and serenity.
This week, home visits to new boys and girls were initiated at the Soledad headquarters, with the purpose of getting to know some aspects of their personal and family life, and identifying psychosocial risk factors to carry out a timely intervention process that allows the reduction of the effects that these may have in the long term.
In the Soledad headquarters, two projects are being developed aimed at training parents through training workshops focused on learning healthy eating habits and study techniques as a strengthening of food security and academic performance at home for beneficiaries.
The cooperation and teamwork were the fundamental pillars of this month in the Fundación Mi Ciudad con Vida. Children and young people had fun with outdoor games and theatrical activities that allowed them to show their socio-emotional potential. In addition, an activity was carried out with young people in which the strengths, opportunities, weaknesses, and threats that identify in the neighborhood and its surroundings were analyzed.
