This week at the Soledad headquarters, we had a visit from a group of volunteers from the Civil Defense, who carried out drills focused on the prevention of natural disaster risks, first aid, and self-care.
Let’s rescue the traditions of Holy Week
During Holy Week, at the Soledad headquarters, we have carried out various activities focused on reflection and spirituality, with positive messages about the importance of family unity and the value of solidarity. Additionally, a small festival was held featuring homemade and traditional sweets, a custom that has been preserved over the years thanks to the oral memory of the women who work in the preparation of these desserts.
Home visits in Soledad
This week, home visits to new boys and girls were initiated at the Soledad headquarters, with the purpose of getting to know some aspects of their personal and family life, and identifying psychosocial risk factors to carry out a timely intervention process that allows the reduction of the effects that these may have in the long term.
We started with training for parents in Soledad
In the Soledad headquarters, two projects are being developed aimed at training parents through training workshops focused on learning healthy eating habits and study techniques as a strengthening of food security and academic performance at home for beneficiaries.

The beneficiaries of the Soledad headquarters carried out an awareness-raising activity on the care of water and the importance that this natural resource has for life, generating ideas to take care of water sources from home, using a symbolism of droplets that represented each of the contributions
Building more equitable communities
This week at the Soledad headquarters, positive male models were promoted in children, capable of expressing their emotions and feelings, showing everyday actions about the role of men in the family and society through phrases and using representative elements.
Commemoration of International Women’s Day
In commemoration of International Women’s Day, we held a fun and interactive activity to promote women’s rights. Through games, children were able to highlight the strengths of the girls in their group and recognize the importance of women in different social contexts. With initiatives like this, we aim to build a more equitable and inclusive society for all.

This week we have started our meal service sessions. We welcomed our children with a delicious menu and offered them various recreational and nutritional activities that helped them to strengthen their good eating habits.
Socialization of 2023 projects in Soledad
This 2023, we have started with the socialization of the projects that we will be developing with our beneficiaries and their families throughout the year in Soledad. During the participatory activity, attendees were able to provide valuable contributions and suggestions, as well as commit to staying active in the process. It was an enriching moment for everyone involved.
“Loving is Sharing” (Cabica).
Christmas represents solidarity and hope, sharing them with other communities is an experience that allows us to cultivate these values; approximately 150 children from the Cabica community joined us in this playful and educational activity and received their Christmas gift.
