The children from the Soledad site experienced an exciting educational outing, promoting mental and physical health in a different setting, where they could play in the park, engage in various motor coordination exercises, dance, and participate in a mixed football match that encouraged healthy competition and teamwork.
Laughs and Emotions on the Big Screen
Our beneficiaries enjoyed an exciting movie day this week, where they relaxed and watched a fun and enriching film. The activity included a delicious snack, creating an even more pleasant atmosphere. Participants shared laughs and comments about their favorite scenes, strengthening community bonds and friendships. These recreational activities are key to promoting emotional well-being and a sense of belonging among our beneficiaries, creating unforgettable memories together.
Environmental Guardians Explore the Biodiversity of Our Region
The Environmental Guardians had an enriching educational experience this week by visiting the butterfly garden. Guided by experts, they explored various species of butterflies and other insects, observing their life cycles and behaviors. The activity not only allowed them to appreciate the beauty of these creatures but also to understand their crucial role in our ecosystems. This experience strengthened their commitment to environmental protection and fostered a collaborative learning environment and respect for nature among the participants.
Morning of relaxation and emotional self-regulation
From the psychosocial support program, activities promoting the mental health of our boys and girls are conducted. This time, we had the support of Academia Sandra to organize a spa session that included body massages, relaxing music, and aromatherapy, aiming to generate a state of well-being and emotional self-regulation.
The group “Alegría” builds bonds of empathy and creativity.
Our beneficiaries from the “Alegría” group participated in an exciting activity of empathy and collaborative work. During the activity, the children learned through mutual support, creating creative bags made by themselves. This experience not only fostered creativity but also teamwork and solidarity among the participants. It was a day full of learning and fun!
Exploring Emotions
Every Saturday, upon arrival, our children from the Travelers group engage in an exciting and fun activity to recognize their emotions. Guided by our facilitators, they explore how they feel and learn to identify and manage their emotions positively. This practice not only strengthens their emotional intelligence but also creates a conducive environment for learning and harmonious interaction among the participants.
Educational articulation processes that promote integral development
From the educational articulation program, periodic visits are made to educational institutions to verify the attendance of all beneficiaries, contributing to the reduction of school dropout rates. This week, we visited six institutions in the municipality of Soledad, including Jorge Artel and Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Self-esteem and well-being session
This week at the Soledad headquarters, we wanted to highlight the work of the mothers in the social volunteering program with a facial cleansing session, a space for recreation, relaxation, and self-esteem to remind them how important and valuable they are to us. For this activity, we had the support of the Academia Sandra Foundation.
Let’s learn different ways to preserve fruits at home.
This week in our nutritional workshop for parents, we learned preservation methods for fruits. This is a food security strategy to reduce food waste and simultaneously take advantage of fresh produce during harvest season by purchasing enough to store. Additionally, parents were able to enjoy a delicious and healthy dessert made with preserved fruits.
Academic Visits Day
This week, at the Lipaya site, we visited the schools of our beneficiaries to verify their attendance and identify potential risk factors that could lead to school dropout. These activities allow us to intervene preventively, offering timely support and solutions to ensure that students can continue their education. During the visits, we met with teachers and administrators to discuss the academic performance and well-being of the beneficiaries.
